There are a vast range of materials for rattan garden furniture on the market, eith different price points. You often may wonder- why is this set so much more than the other when they look the same? Price material can hugely dictate the difference in price between garden patio sets that look the same at a glance.

Aluminium frames are far more durable and weather resistant that galvanised steel or Iron and will often come with longer warranties. Below is a guide to different materials for outdoor garden furniture.

Steel ( often Galvanised) is a cheaper type of materia but can be prone to rust issues when exposed to the elements. It must be kept covered in periods of damp weather, and properly maintained ( kept dry). Steel is quite heavy and therefore does very well in windy conditions. 

Most steel/ Galvanised/ powdered coated steel sets on the market offer a one year warranty, including ours.

Aluminium This type of furniture comes with a higher price tag, but offers much greater longevity as it simply won't rust. It is extremely weather resistant allowing you to leave it outdoors.

One thing to note with aluminium, is it is quite light, so if it is a windy day there is the risk of it blowing over.

Due to the durability of alumnium, most manufacturers offer a higher warranty on this product.
